We were, once again, spared a rained out.  Mother nature had her way last night and this morning, leaving huge puddles of water on the field.  If it weren't for the coaches and parents squeegeeing, we would have needed canoes to play.      Once the game started the sun took over water drying duties and made short work of it.  Kyle doesn't seem to need more than a pitch or two before blasting the ball into the outfield.  Patrick hit a pop fly to left field, the ball bounced just twice and hit the fence.  Mi Mi displayed good defensive moves and threw the ball accurately every time.  Ronnie was amazing, like always, smiling big as he goes around the bases.  Joey did great at pitcher and added couple homeruns to his list.  There were too many good plays to name them all.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support. The wonderful sounds of baseball bright and early.  Chad Cushnir from First Coast News came out to do a story on us.   He did some interviews and took a lot of game footage.  We are excited and proud to have our athletes highlighted on tv for all to see.  Austin and Brian hit nice shots through the infield.  Kyle hit one all the way to the left field fence.  Andrew got a homerun and slid safety at home plate.  Patrick kept his streak of extra base hits going with a nice shot past the shortstop.  Amanda and Levi made couple outs at third and first.  There were too many good plays to name them all.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support. Let's see what happen today...oh yeah...Jeannie Blaylock with First Coast News came out to do a story on us.   She interviewed a few players and parents.  Her camera man filmed players running around the bases, batting and making defensive plays in the field.   She got to see amazing children having lots of fun playing baseball.  I can't wait to see our stars on tv.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support. Today turned out to be a great day for baseball.  We had a bit of rain overnight which left puddles for our grounds crew.  The sun peeked out from behind the clouds long enough to dry everything up then disappeared again.  Zachary joined us today and didn't miss a beat from last season with a strong performance at the plate.  Mimi and Joey belted a few nice hits.  Chase had several good hits past the infield.  Adrian sent two balls way down the first base line for extra bases. Adrian also showed his quick moves when an errant throw whizzed past him.  Chris, Doug, Amanda and Levi put together a solid defense.  Raven and Andy both stole second base and had nice hits of their own.  Joshua and Corbin chopped hits up the middle for easy extra bases.  Andrew hit a line drive between first and second and beat the throw by sliding into first base.  Kyle and Brian did great at bat also.  Everyone is improving and having lots of fun!  There were too many good plays to name them all.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support. Another beautiful overcast morning for baseball.  The Reds were early as usual warmed up and ready to play.  Coach Norris hobbled his torn achilles into the dugout.  Chris, Joshua and Andy lead the Indians onto the field with flurry of woo woo woo chants to start the game.  Ronnie burned up the base path leaving smoke trailing behind.  Brian had increased his average with a few well placed hits.  Levi always has  strong throws to first base right on target.  Chase and Olando added more stolen bases and great hitting. Michael and Patrick both had line drive hits through the infield.  Andrew showed us another good performance behind the plate.  Doug is getting closer to hitting one out of the park.  Maybe next week the cheering section will give him extra encouragement.  There were too many good plays to name them all.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support. A beautiful overcast morning in Jacksonville.  Everyone ready to go including our cheering section.  Austin started us off with a nice chopper through the gap for a base hit.  Jarrett followed him up with a single of his own.  Corbin belted a laser into the outfield for a triple scoring two.  Chase got on base and stole 2nd and third without breaking a sweat.  Raven and Joshua made a few nice defensive stops.  Joey bounced a ball down the third base line and dug out an infield single, just beating the throw to first.  Andrew worked hard behind the plate giving coach Norris pitch signs.  There were too many good plays to name them all.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support. A great day to be at the park.  Many new players lined the dugouts just waiting to start.  Equipment ready, check, field ready, check, coaches ready, check, players ready, CHECK, lets "Play Ball". Our cheering section gave the players all a huge ovation as they took their places.  Austin and Kyle both sent balls up the middle for easy doubles. Chase powered a ball past the shortstop to the fence.  James and Andrew both reached 1st on nice hits and then promptly stole 2nd.  Both Corbin and Ronnie rounded the bases for homeruns.  Patrick showed off his hitting with a pair of doubles.  Everyone had played hard and made good plays.  We would like to thank all of our volunteers for your support.
