Volunteer to be a Part of The Miracle League
The Jacksonville
Miracle League is preparing for the Fall 2008 Season, opening
mid-September, and we need volunteers to make the league’s 3rd
season successful. As we prepare for Opening Day, we need people who can
participate in one of the following areas:
- coaching
- player
buddies
- team moms
- field
assistants
- umpires

registration table
- pa
announcer
- scoreboard
-
communications/PR
- fundraising
- medical
- public
speaking
- sell
concessions
- player
recruiter
- community
outreach
- cheer on
the kids
Team Coaches…to
ensure an environment of fun and participation for their respective
teams.
Player “Buddies” (age 10 and over)…to assist the players during
the games.
Buddy Leaders…to be responsible for communication with the
buddies on each team and ensure that appropriate buddies are assigned to
players.
Team Moms...to assist the teams, to plan extracurricular events,
ensure snacks at the games, and mentor buddies.
Get back more than you give
The players make every
game special. But it’s the people who offer their time and friendship
that make it possible. Players are paired with a “buddy” who helps them
play the game. And volunteers are always needed to coach teams, sell
concessions and cheer on the kids. It only takes a little to make a big
difference.

All Miracle League Buddies must attend our buddy training held weekly
during the season, before assisting our players.
