Buddy volunteers you are in the right place. 

We have created a section on our website called Dibs that will help us manage Buddy volunteers for each game or event.

To volunteer as a Buddy...

• go to the Dibs section on the website menu.
• click on a Dibs session (e.g. Buddy Volunteer, Snack Bar Volunteer).
• you will see a number of rows for each date/time we need volunteers.
• click on an unclaimed row for the data/time you wish to volunteer.
• review any details about the volunteer position needed.
• click on Claim this Dib item.   (Game/Event)

You will be sent email reminders to any Game or Event you have claimed.
 

Note: We are using this Dibs volunteer management for the first time and most likely won't have all the "bugs" worked out.  We asked that if you have any issues, please give us a call.

Buddy Registrations are always OPEN.  Signup now for your opportunity to be on our Angels In The Outfield team.

To help our athletes, the Miracle League uses a “buddy” system, pairing players with an able-bodied peer. We are always in need of Buddies - adults or teenagers - to help our players with batting, rounding the bases, and fielding. Buddies need to be physically able to protect the players from harm and assist the players as needed. Safety is our primary goal; the fun comes naturally! Though we call them Buddies, many refer them as Angels in the Outfield.

Buddies will be assigned to teams and need to be at the ballpark when that team is playing. Each team plays one game per week for about 1 ½ hours, unless they have a bye week. Games are played on Fridays at 7pm, and on Saturdays at 9am, 10:30am and noon.  You don’t have to help out with every game; you can alternate games with other buddies, or whatever your schedule will allow. Not all Buddies need to have their volunteer hours tracked, so if you do need written confirmation of your hours, please contact the Buddy Director as soon as the season has ended.
